Our Minister: Dr. Manuel B. Johnican Sr.

Dr. Johnican is currently the senior minister for the Adam Street Church of Christ in Enterprise, Alabama, since February 2022. Previously, he served as the senior minister for the Downtown Church of Christ in Norfolk, Virginia, from 2017 – 2022 and the senior minister for the Second and Magnolia church of Christ in Duncan, Oklahoma, from 1989 – 1990. Dr. Johnican was also a full-time professor at Strayer University from 2010 - 2023. He is a U.S. Army Veteran, having served active duty from 1991 – 2003; after leaving the Army, Dr. Johnican went to work for FedEx Ground as a manager and instructor from 2003 - 2010.

Dr. Manuel B. Johnican Sr: was baptized into the body of Christ in May of 1975 when he was only eight years old. Dr. Johnican is divorced and has three children: Manuel Jr, Dymond, and Destiny, and one grandson Manuel the third. Dr. Johnican earned his bachelor’s degree in religious education and Bible from Southwestern Christian College (1989), his Master of Art in human services from Liberty University (2007), and his doctorate in Health Education from A.T. Still University (2010), then another Master of Science in Management from Strayer University (2014), and many other further study courses in public health and health services administration with Strayer University and Liberty University over the years.
